Job Description 

  • Candidates working at this post are required to work non-standard hours, including weekends depending on operational and programming needs working at this post. 
  • Candidates are also required at this post to lead, instruct and evaluate diverse and inclusive sport, culture and recreation activities for children and youth. 
  • Candidates for this post are appointed to program plans, weekly activity schedules, and attendance reports working at this post. 
  • Candidates are also appointed at this post to set up & take down equipment, monitor the building and supervise the facility for scheduled bookings, programs and special events. 
  • Candidates at this post are required to safe and efficient operation of equipment, programs and facilities working at this post. 

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR Level ‘C’ or St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid & CPR Level ‘C’ to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must attain the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to plan, organize, schedule, instruct and evaluate program activities to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates for this post must be dependable to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates for this post must have the means to travel within the City and be a proactive team member who contributes to a positive work environment. 
  • They must exercise initiative and good judgment when completing work assignments to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates for this post must have proven customer service skills and the ability to be a positive role model for children & youth.

Work setting 

  • Candidates who have completed 1 year post-secondary education in Kinesiology, Education to get preferred for this post.
