Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for installing electrical distribution and transmission systems.
  • The candidate must splice, solder, and insulate conductors and related wiring to connect power distribution and transmission networks.
  • The candidate must write maintenance reports.
  • The candidate will be responsible for inspecting overhead and underground power lines, cables, and auxiliary equipment.
  • The candidate must ensure that health and safety regulations are followed.
  • The candidate will be required to climb ladders or operate hydraulic buckets when working aloft on poles and towers, or work in confined spaces such as trenches and tunnels to install power lines, cables, and related equipment.
  • The candidate must communicate with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
  • The candidate must work in confined spaces to install power lines, cables, and associated equipment.
  • The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

  • The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
