Bottling line worker

Ice River Springs, based at Lachute, QC J8H 4N6, is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Bottling line worker who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. The open positions pertain to Permanent employment or full-time jobs. The candidate must be available to work day, night, and weekend shifts, as well as on a shift basis, and must be willing to work overtime as required.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate strong food safety and handling skills.
• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials.
• The candidate must feed and unload processing machines.
• The candidate must check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
• The candidate must clean machines and the immediate work areas.
• The candidate must operate machinery to process and bag, box, or otherwise package food products.
• The candidate must maintain a shift log of production and other relevant data.
• The candidate must inform the supervisor of any mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities.
• The candidate must record production information accurately.
• The candidate must ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the French language.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The candidate must be resourceful.

Work setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
• The candidate must work in a food and beverage plant, a manufacturing or production setting, and a non-alcoholic beverage processing plant.

• The candidate must have their own transportation.
• There is no access to public transportation.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
