Job Description

  • The candidate must effectively manage and oversee all compliance issues and responsibilities on a daily basis.
  • The candidate must provide clear and consistent communication through weekly sales, support, and team meetings.
  • The candidate must provide high performance coaching to each IA.
  • The candidate must demonstrate behaviors that motivate employees to achieve strong results, including support for development and recognition.
  • The candidate must consistently look for ways to engage employees in improving the work environment within the branch.
  • The candidate should provide clear and actionable feedback to IAs and support staff, both positive and corrective, and be willing to make tough decisions.
  • The candidate must solve complex problems by identifying the root cause and looking beyond obvious solutions.
  • The candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate will be required to have post-secondary education from a college or university.
  • The candidate must have retail brokerage experience with a minimum of 2 years as an Investment Advisor or similar experience.
  • The candidate will be required to have experience in handling ambiguity and managing multiple operations and servicing activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • The candidate must be able to engage a diverse team including branch staff, middle office, and internal and external partners.
  • The candidate must have experience managing multiple priorities and handling complex situations to achieve results.
  • The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership experience with a focus on coaching and development.
  • The candidate must be decisive and results driven.
  • The candidate must have completed the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE).
  • The candidate is preferred to have a BM license.
  • The candidate must have hands-on experience within RBC Dominion Securities.
  • The candidate must have a background in WM operations and the financial industry.
