Job Description

• The candidate must conduct voltage, resistance, and other tests using electrical test equipment.
• The candidate must prepare written estimates of repair costs.
• The candidate must refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts.
• The candidate must diagnose faults using testing devices.
• The candidate must repair electrical appliances and components.
• The candidate must replace faulty components.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and the condition of equipment.
• The candidate must use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust, and reprogram appliances.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have an Appliance Repair Trade Certification.

Work setting

• The candidate should have an on-site customer service system where employees work in an office or business location.
• The candidate must be able to work in multiple locations to support employees stationed at various worksites.

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The employer will provide the candidate with a vehicle.
• The employer will cover the candidate’s travel expenses.
• The candidate must be willing to travel.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in positions that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
