HARLTON APIARIES based in Souris, MB, is looking for candidates for the position of Apiary Workers with 4 vacancies. The job is LMIA approved. The vacancies refer to that of seasonal employment and a full time job. The shift will extend from early morning to morning to day and the candidate may be required to work in the weekend as well.

Job description

• The candidate will be required to carry out apiary work.
• The candidate will be required for harvesting honey.
• The candidate will be required to tend to Honey bees.
• The candidate will be required for detection of diseases and problems in bees.
• The candidate will be required treatment of bee diseases.
• The Work Setting is a Honey farm.
• The working environment will be in an Rural area.
• The candidate will be required to work in various locations.
• The candidate will be required to work outdoors.
• The work site environment will either be wet or damp and can get very hot at times, hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.

Requirements

• The candidate does not require any degree, certificate or diploma for this job.
• The candidate should have an experience of at least 1 year to less than 2 years.
• The candidate should be skilled in apiary work.
• The candidate should have Automated Systems experience.
• The candidate should have experience in handling automated honey extractor.
• The candidate should have knowledge on honey farm.
• The candidate should have knowledge of bee biology.
• The work will be physically demanding and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
• The candidate should pay attention to detail.
• The candidate should be accurate.
• The candidate should be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• The candidate should be a team player.
• The work will involve a combination of bending or crouching and kneeling which the candidate should be comfortable with.
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate should be comfortable with handling repetitive tasks.
• The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads;
• The candidate should have very good hand eye co-ordination;
• The work will involve a combination of sitting and standing and walking which the candidate should be comfortable with.
• The candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and hence should be comfortable with it.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• Should know English.
