Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for responding to users who are experiencing difficulties with computer.
  • The candidate must consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions.
  • The candidate must collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing users with business system, network, and internet support in response to identified issues.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades, or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must hold Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) professional Certification, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification, International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification, Microsoft certified technology specialist (MCTS), and Information Systems Professional (ISP) Certification.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Networking software, Networking hardware, Intranet, Internet, Servers, Desktop applications, File management software, Website creation and management software and SharePoint.
