Job description
- An analyst/data quality manager is in charge of finding, refining and providing the right quality and quantity of data as requested by a team to proceed with their operation.
- The position is in Montreal and involves working for a collaborative, supportive team.
- A genuine interest in data and software quality is appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Provide support teams with accurate and reliable data on time for their decision-making.
- Assist in providing internal control assurance with timely follow-up actions on data matters (even off hours as needed), and assist with department reporting.
- Collaborate with IT teams and external partners to fulfill data requests and maintain data platforms and domains.
- Participate in defining requirements for projects and serve as the main contact for data-related testing.
- Show a high level of accuracy and attention to detail on all data responsibilities.
Requirements
- Preference will be given to candidates who have a degree in finance, business technology or another related discipline, combined with at least two years of experience in either data quality, operations or in the financial markets.
- Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of both financial markets and market data, investment products, and reporting processes.
- Working independently, being proactive and being inquisitive are the traits very much appreciated.
- Mastering Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL Studio) is a requirement.
- Having experience with Bloomberg will be a plus. The language fluency in two and the evidence of being results-oriented will be the factors taken into consideration.
- Expertise in English, French, Portfolio Management and Data Analysis.
