Job Description
- The candidate must demonstrate leadership across all aspects of organizational effectiveness, including onboarding, performance management, coaching, talent assessment, succession planning, and employee engagement.
- The candidate will lead the strategy and approach for providing effective and timely first-line P&C support and guidance to employees and managers on various P&C-related matters, including interpreting defined policies and procedures.
- The candidate will collaborate on projects and initiatives focused on improving the overall employee experience across the organization.
- The candidate will support managers through coaching on performance management and improvement, including the creation and follow-up of action plans to enhance employee performance.
- The candidate will provide coaching and advice on career development, recruitment practices, succession planning, compensation and performance management, diversity and inclusion, and other human resource practices.
- The candidate will provide advice on involuntary separation requests from managers to ensure compliance with company culture and practices.
- The candidate will determine legal exposure by reviewing applicable legislation and providing recommendations to leadership on the appropriate course of action.
- The candidate will lead and ensure compliance with employment laws related to termination notices and employment separation documentation.
- The candidate must work closely with the Benefits team to assist managers with accommodation cases and coordinate return-to-work planning activities.
- The candidate will conduct exit interviews to identify team and department issues and provide recommendations for improvement action plans.
- The candidate will monitor employee engagement and provide recommendations on action plans to strengthen employee satisfaction and address areas of concern.
- The candidate will support operational workforce planning and assist hiring managers in determining resourcing needs, job leveling, and compensation requirements to support hiring activities.
- The candidate will support the delivery of annual people programs, including Talking Talent, compensation reviews, promotion exercises, and bonus programs.
- The candidate must collaborate with P&C Centers of Excellence (COE) Teams to manage P&C matters in accordance with company policies and applicable legal requirements.
- The candidate will be responsible for conducting investigations concerning breaches of the company’s standards of conduct in collaboration with the Employee Relations Team.
- The candidate will collaborate with People Analytics to deliver workforce reports and insights that support business objectives and decision-making.
- The candidate will work in partnership with the People and Culture COE to facilitate training for P&C programs across the business as required.
- The candidate will ensure all Workday people transactions and reporting are completed in a timely manner while supporting general P&C administration in partnership with the People Experiences support team.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must possess a minimum of 8+ years of progressive generalist, Business Partner, or similar relatable experience.
- The candidate must have at least 5+ years of experience leading or supporting strategic people initiatives.
- The candidate must possess a deep understanding of federal, state, and provincial employment laws.
- The candidate must possess broad human resource knowledge and the ability to deliver People and Culture advisory services.
- The candidate should have a passion for the employee experience and be energized to regularly walk the warehouse floor while fostering connection and an open-door culture with employees.
- The candidate must possess strong conceptual thinking, organizational, and conflict management skills.
- The candidate must possess strong negotiation, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- The candidate must possess strong decision-making skills and a deep understanding of employee relations, people management, and training.
