Job Description

  • The candidate must build pallets.
  • The candidate must be capable of loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • The candidate must operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
  • The candidate must weigh materials and goods.
  • The candidate must wrap goods.
  • The candidate must pack and unpack goods.
  • The candidate must sort, crate, and stack goods.
  • The candidate will be responsible for storing cargo and materials.
  • The candidate must transport and distribute materials and goods.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must hold certifications in Counterbalanced Forklift Training, Forklift Operator, First Aid, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
  • The candidate must be able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and more than 45 kg (100 lbs).

  • The candidate must be able to work in a trucking company and a cross-docking facility.
  • The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
  • The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy and busy environment with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, as well as many forklift truck drivers moving pallets between shelves.

Vehicle and equipment experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating dollies, hand trucks, towmotors, industrial lift trucks, forklifts, and pallet lifters.

  • The candidate must be bondable.
  • The candidate must undergo a criminal record check, a drug test, and obtain a basic security clearance.

  • The candidate must have their transportation.
