Job Description
- The candidate must plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS), or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- The candidate must respond to customer complaints or concerns.
- The candidate must maintain a professional demeanour in customer service.
- The candidate must load and unload goods.
- The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
- The candidate must inspect the vehicle’s condition, including the brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
- The candidate will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
- The candidate will be responsible for tarping and ensuring cargo safety and security.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have an AZ Class license, Air Brakes Endorsement Certification, Class 1/1F/A License (for semi-trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Certification, Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate, and a Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should have good judgmental skills.

- The candidate should be a good team player.

- The candidate must have patience.

Documentation knowledge
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about accident or incident reports, driver logbooks, inspection reports (including pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip reports), and trip reports.
