Job description
- As a Train Conductor, you will start your rewarding long-term career in CP.
- As a Train Conductor, you will work as a train crew member helping to change cars, form or split
- trains in the yard, or move cars between yards, sidings, or tracks.
- Working in train or yard service based on seniority.
- Specific instructions detailing the route and specific movement of the train to be followe
Job Requirements
- High school graduation or general equivalency diploma
- 3-5 years of work experience with demonstrated safe track record
- Must have completed at least 18 years
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Must be able to cooperate and communicate well, as well as be able to handle any situation.
- Be able to handle switching of cars including coupling and uncoupling cars and taking out-coupling devices.
Benefits
- 16 weeks of paid training will be provided to the candidate to become a conductor.
- The employee will be paid $1,129.45/week during the training.
- Here the employee is paid $85,000 in his first year as a qualified conductor.
- An average conductor here earns around $107,000 annually with the potential to make up to $140,000.
