Superintendent Fleet Maintenance
Canada Post has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Superintendent Fleet Maintenance. They implement and monitor the Canada Post vehicle preventive and corrective maintenance program in the repair facility and assigned remote postal facilities, with the goal of optimising vehicle availability and ensuring that standard repair practices are followed. They provide leadership and guidance and supervise the day-to-day activities of the automotive maintenance. They analyse and report on Key Performance Indicators.

Job description
- Candidates recommend vehicle repair facility staff training to the Manager and/or Fleet Maintenance Control Officer.
- They review and ensure contractor work orders are consistent with the pricing of parts and labour and ensure quality assurance of the work completed.
- They participate in the process to review Standing Offer Agreements for Automotive Services requirements.
- They ensure that timely and accurate data is input into the Fleet Management Information System and that records are maintained in the vehicle file.
Job requirement
- Candidates must complete a High School diploma or provincial equivalent.
- They must have minimum 2 years experience managing a team within a unionised environment
- They must have minimum 2 years experience coaching, mentoring ,supervising apprentices and/or trainees within an automotive repair setting.
Work setting
- Candidates must have knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to the operation of fleet vehicles and facilities.
- They must have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- They should possess a valid permanent driver’s licence.
