Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise application solutions and frameworks across multiple teams and business units, while establishing scalable configuration patterns and practices.
- The candidate will be responsible for driving complex, multi-team initiatives with minimal supervision, making independent technical decisions while managing ambiguity and competing priorities.
- The candidate will write exemplary configurations and proprietary application code in critical areas, demonstrating best-in-class application engineering practices when deep platform expertise is required.
- The candidate will consult with architects on application architecture decisions, providing technical expertise on implementation feasibility, scalability considerations, and operational implications.
- The candidate will establish application engineering and configuration standards across the organization, including validation strategies, deployment workflows, and quality practices.
- The candidate will be responsible for partnering with business and engineering leadership on application implementation strategy, roadmap planning, and alignment with business priorities.
- The candidate will mentor application engineers at all levels, including developing senior engineers and emerging application engineering leaders.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience.
- A Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
- The candidate must have 9–12 years of experience defining application strategy, establishing integration and configuration standards, and driving organization-wide application decisions, or equivalent experience.
- The candidate must have proven experience designing domain-wide configuration frameworks and standards adopted across multiple teams.
- The candidate must have a track record of defining complex coding and scripting standards used company-wide for application platforms.
- The candidate must have experience establishing platform extension strategies that balance low-code and scripting approaches.
- The candidate must have experience establishing integration standards and patterns using platform-native connectors and integration tools.
- The candidate must have proven ability to define data management frameworks and mapping strategies adopted across the organization.
- The candidate must demonstrate ability to define configuration lifecycle and release management standards for a domain.
- The candidate must have experience establishing release governance frameworks aligned with vendor update cycles and organizational change management.
- The candidate must have a proven track record of building organizational application engineering capability through mentoring engineers at all levels across domains.
- The candidate must have experience working with HR SaaS applications, with familiarity in platforms such as Workday, Avature, Docebo, and Databricks considered an asset.
- The candidate must demonstrate deep expertise in enterprise SaaS platforms, with the ability to evaluate configuration, low-code, and custom development trade-offs.
