Skilled Laborer

Aerotek has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Skilled Laborer. They will be working on a large solar field project where they will be assisting with the trenching work and cabling work. They work on a Civil construction site therefore this position may require bending, twisting, and working on uneven ground.

Job description

  • Candidates will be working around heavy equipment such as excavators and assisting with hand digging around existing piles or conduit, raking sand, and backfilling duties. 
  • They will be using 200-1000 pound plate tampers, jumping jacks, or operating water pumps as required. 
  • They could also be asked to help load and unload equipment above equipment. 

Job requirement

  • Candidates must have construction/Civil Experience.
  • They must have the experience in assisting sub trades, installs, clean ups, lifting.
  • They must be experienced in outdoor, top solid, ground environment.

Work setting

  • Candidates must have experience in all outdoor work, working in clay and top soil, dealing with lots of moisture in the ground. 
  • They must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in outdoor weather conditions.
  • They can be working around uneven ground and heavy equipment therefore safety is key. When ground conditions are wet steel-toed rubber boots are required.


  • Candidates will get a high pay scale in the workplace.
