Job Description
- Candidates who applied for this post are responsible for the effective management of major construction and alteration projects and programs for Parks, Forestry, & Recreation amenities with a focus on major shoreline or complex riparian projects.
- They’re also accountable at this post for managing assigned projects, ensuring effective teamwork and communication, high standards of work quality and organizational performance working at this post.
- People who apply for this post are required to coordinate the planning work and the work priority in complex phased projects working at this post.
- Applicants are also accountable for assisting in the resolution of delay claims and disputes that may arise through the execution of construction activities.
- They’re also accountable at this post to evaluate tender documents and consultant proposals and make recommendations for Council approval applied for this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed post-secondary education in a related discipline for example:- Landscape Architecture, Civil/ Coastal/ Water Engineering.
- Candidates must possess and maintain a valid Province of Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and be able to access a vehicle, as needed, for site visits to be considered as an asset for this post.
- People must attain the ability to manage consultants and contractors as well as diverse partner interests.They must have to be highly developed analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- They must attain excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with staff, political representatives, consultants, contractors and the public to be eligible for this post.
