Job Description
- The candidate must provide bedside and personal care.
- The candidate must administer medications.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with bathing and other personal hygiene activities.
- The candidate must assist with regular exercise activities, such as walking.
- The candidate must change non-sterile dressings.
- The candidate must feed or assist in feeding the patient.
- The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
- The candidate must be able to mend clothing and linens.
- The candidate must plan therapeutic diets and menus.
- The candidate must provide personal care.
- The candidate must prepare and serve healthy meals.
- The candidate will be responsible for cooking.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- A candidate with experience is an asset.
- The ability to communicate in Hindi and Panjabi is an asset for the candidate.
- The candidate must have a CPR certificate, a First Aid certificate, and a Personal Support Worker certificate.
- The candidate must be able to handle weights between 61 and 80 kg (133–176 lbs).
- The candidate must be punctual.
- The candidate should have good judgmental skills.
- The candidate must be well-organized.
- The candidate must have patience.
- The candidate must be honest.
