Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Follow assigned kitchen tasks and support smooth kitchen operations.
  • Study all menu items together with their respective ingredients and all known allergens.
  • Follow standard procedures when they prepare and cook menu items.
  • Complete all opening and closing tasks together with preparation and cleaning duties.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces throughout their entire work time.
  • Provide assistance to their teammates whenever the Head Chef is not present.
  • Help maintain a respectful and safe kitchen environment.
  • Make sure products are rotated properly in storage.

Requirements

  • The candidates who have at least two years of experience in fast-paced kitchen environments will receive preference during the selection process.
  • The position requires strong interaction skills together with organizational abilities.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to prepare and cook food within established time constraints.
  • The candidate needs effective time management abilities to maintain kitchen operations during service periods.
  • The position demands basic food preparation skills together with essential cooking methods.
  • Previous experience in a similar style of restaurant would be considered an asset.
  • The candidate needs Red Seal certification as an asset but this requirement does not stand as mandatory.
  • The candidate must establish their ability to drive to work or move to Edmonton for employment.
  • The position requires at least one year of cooking experience from applicants.
  • A Food Safe SafeCheck Food Handler or similar certification serves as the preferred qualification.
