Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support services to the regional office planning team.
- The candidate will work under the direction of the Regional Planning Manager to ensure office operations support the planning team and act as a liaison with Administrative Services.
- The candidate will be required to work in a highly complex political environment while ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with legislation and organizational policies.
- The candidate must provide excellent customer service and reception to the public.
- The candidate must coordinate maintenance of equipment.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining supply availability within budget limits.
- The candidate must ensure security and upkeep of the premises.
- The candidate must liaise with Administrative Support Services regarding information technology and finance needs.
- The candidate must manage records.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have secondary school graduation or equivalent (such as GED).
- The candidate should have prior experience working in an office setting.
- The candidate is required to have experience delivering administrative support to a team or group of staff.
- The candidate is expected to be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- The candidate must possess and maintain a valid driverโs license.
- The candidate should possess post-secondary education or training in office administration.
- The candidate must have training or experience in website posting.
- The candidate must possess experience handling reception responsibilities.
- The candidate must have experience working in a local government setting.
- The candidate is expected to have experience in records management.
- The candidate must have experience in minute taking.
- The candidate must have experience providing financial support services for a group of staff.
- The candidate must be willing to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as required.
- The candidate must be located in British Columbia at the time of employment.
