Job Description

The candidate will have to slice cooked meats.
The candidate must shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.
The candidate will be required to remove bones from meat.
The candidate must prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
The candidate will be required to prepare special orders.
The candidate will be required to make special sausages.
The candidate will be required to grind meats.
The candidate will be required to cut fish into steaks and fillets.
The candidate must be able to cut poultry into parts.
The candidate will be expected to cut, trim, and prepare standard meat cuts.
The candidate must cut carcasses, sides, and quarters.
The candidate will be required to clean and prepare fish and shellfish.
The candidate will be required to wrap and package prepared meats.
The candidate will have to weigh meats for sale.
The candidate will be responsible for training meat cutters.
The candidate will be expected to sell meat to customers.
The candidate will have to price meat products.
The candidate must clean meats in preparation for processing or cutting.
The candidate will be expected to supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

The candidate must work in a supermarket and meat department, as well as a supermarket/grocery store.

Security and Safety

The candidate must have a basic level of security clearance.
