Job Description

• The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks in order to transport goods and materials.
• The candidate will be responsible for overseeing condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• The candidate will be responsible for pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections, as well as overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
• The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• The candidate must train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence (Class 1 or A).
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Experience and Specialization

Documentation Knowledge

• The candidate should be well-versed in documentation such as bills of lading, driver logbooks, and inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).

Type of Trucking and Equipment

• The candidate must have prior experience with Refrigerated and Tractor-trailer vehicles.

Transportation/Travel Experience

• The candidate should have experience in running Long-haul trips.
• The candidate should have good knowledge about International and National regions.

Additional Information

Security and Safety

• The candidate must have a valid passport.
• The candidate must have a basic level of security clearance.
• The candidate should be subjected to a thorough driving record check (abstract) and drug test.
