Job description
- Candidates will initiate your day at the depot by sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
- A Canada Post postal vehicle will be loaded and driven by them.
- The majority of your day will be spent outside, delivering mail and packages to customers on your route, either by foot or vehicle.
- Afterward, they will return to the depot to unload the incoming mail and packages for later delivery.
Job requirement
- A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for a minimum of 3 years (driver’s abstract required) is a prerequisite for candidates.
- Regularly lifting mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carrying items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) throughout the day requires physical ability from them.
- Their capability to work in all types of weather is a must.
- Necessity dictates that they be on-call.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and/or French is expected from them.
Work setting
