Job description

  • Will be required to plant crops.
  • Will be required to cultivate.
  • Will be required to irrigate crops.
  • Will be required to harvest crops.
  • Will be required to examine produce for quality.
  • Will be required to prepare produce for market.
  • Will be required to perform general farm duties.
  • Will be required to manage the overall operation of the farm.
  • Will be required to maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings.
  • Will be required to maintain financial and production records.
  • Will be required to organize and co-ordinate planting, cultivating and crop harvesting activities.
  • Will be required to determine the amount and kinds of crops to be grown.
  • Will be required to determine the amount and kinds of livestock to be raised.

Requirements 

  • No degree, certificate or diploma or equivalent experience is required to apply for this position.
  • Prior experience of 1 month to less than 7 months is required to apply for this position.
  • Will be required to perform general farm duties.
  • Will be required to operate farm machinery and equipment.
  • Will be required to maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • Will be required to maintain work records and logs.
  • Should have good hand-eye coordination.
  • Should have the ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Should be able to discriminate between sounds.
  • Will be required to work within tight deadlines.
  • Will be required to work outdoors.
  • Will be required to work in hot areas.
  • Will be required to work in wet or damp areas.
  • Will be required to work in areas filled with odours.
  • Will be required to work in noisy areas.
