Job Description

  • The Investment and Retirement Planner position is dedicated to providing a personalized approach to delivering investment and retirement resources to Personal Banking Clients.
  • The Investment and Retirement Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining successful client relationships through advice-based planning and through referrals.
  • The Planner will work closely with both internal business partners and external networks to create a smooth and seamless experience for the client.
  • The use of new technology in both digital and mobile channels, will help to increase productivity and client engagement.
  • The Investment and Retirement Planner is a Full-Time, Commission Only Role or Minimum 37.5 hours per week.
  • The Planner will be a member of a collaborative, high-performing team and will work to create a schedule that is flexible and aligns with the client’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Create tailored investment solutions and financial plans for our clients.
  • Increase and unify existing and new client’s relationships/asset bases.
  • Establish an internal point of contact/partner who can assist with client needs as they evolve.
  • Develop/build external referral methods through networking, marketing and key relationships.

Requirements

  • A Recognized financial planning designation such as QAFP, PFP®, or CFP®.
  • Valid mutual funds licensing, including IFIC or CSC credentials.
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in Financial Planning.
  • Well-developed networking and client acquisition skill sets.
  • Effective partnership relationship-building, and maintaining skills.
  • Competency and comfort with digital technology, including the use of mobile applications.
  • Should have proper communication skills.
