Job Description

  • The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the greenhouse.
  • The candidate will be in charge of harvesting vegetables by hand.
  • The candidate will be in charge of harvesting seedlings.
  • The candidate will be in charge of hoeing crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing vine growth, vine canopy, and grapes.
  • The candidate will be in charge of permaculture.
  • The candidate will be expected to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate will be in charge of vegetable culling.
  • The candidate will be in charge of weeding.
  • The candidate will be in charge of harvesting crops.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate will be expected to inspect the product for quality and prepare it for market.
  • The candidate will be responsible for sorting and packing fruits and vegetables.
  • The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
  • The candidate will be expected to clean the work area.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a programme lasting one to two years, or equivalent experience in Agriculture, general, Horticultural science, Environmental studies, and Conservation biology.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.
  • The candidate should be reliable.

Work site environment

  • Farm operations include fruit and vegetable combination farming, organic farming, and other miscellaneous crop farming.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
