Job Description

  • In the role of Senior Analyst for the Future, you will contribute to the development of new futures clearing services and solutions throughout North America.
  • The Senior Analyst will work full-time (~37.5–40 hours per week) with business operations and vendors.
  • The Senior Analyst will also provide support for system enhancements, vendor coordination, testing, and implementation support for new service offerings.
  • Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be involved in supporting market-driven initiatives with the CCP (Central Counterparty) and technology partners, as well as with the internal team.
  • The Senior Analyst will contribute to product and service roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise vendor relationships, evaluate system improvements, and assist with testing, bug fixes.
  • Team up with CCPs and industry associations to work on market projects and tech upgrades.
  • Interact with teams from North America on fresh markets, in-house projects, and service enlargements.
  • Evaluate necessary modifications to the services taking into account technology, resources, and cost impacts.
  • Keep an eye on market infrastructure transitions and customer requirements to be aware of potential impacts.
  • Join forces with BCS teams to create and put in place more effective automated solutions.
  • Participate in product and service roadmaps by contributing to strategy, mandatory changes, and functionality planning.

Requirements

  • A deep understanding of clearing, reconciliations, controls, and regulatory reporting.
  • Should have experience with Royal Bank of Canada and vendor back- and middle-office systems.
  • Must have a solid grasp of the major exchange and CCP platforms.
  • Knowledge of the CCP processes, events, rules, and deadlines.
  • Idea about the major regulations like CASS, MiFID II, EMIR, etc.
  • A-level educated or have an equivalent qualification.
  • Certifications in the relevant sector (e.g., CISI, Eurex QBO).
  • Clearing and settlement expertise supported by substantial FOBO process knowledge.
  • Familiarity with one or more software modules commonly used in the industry.
  • Capacity to decipher regulatory changes and provide adaptable solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills in solving problems
