Job Description
- The candidate must monitor animal health.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
- The candidate must ensure that farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records.
- The candidate must supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.

Work site environment
- Farm operations include organic farming, dairy farming, grain, oil and forage crop farming, as well as livestock farming.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration despite these conditions.
- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
Work setting
- The candidate should be willing to work in a rural area, where most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
- The candidate should work from a remote location, which is the practice of employees performing their jobs from a location other than a central office operated by the employer.
- The candidate should work in a staff accommodation that offers live-in facilities, provided by the employer, which provides housing to its employees.
Experience and specialization
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate has experience operating various types of equipment and machinery, including automated manure handling and storage systems, bulk handling systems, feeding and watering systems, automated milking systems, tractors, forklifts, forage equipment, farm trucks, and skid steers.
Automated systems experience
- The candidate has experience operating automated bulk grain or feed handling systems.
