Job Description

Type of Farm operation

Hog management

  • The candidate should be able to perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate should be responsible in managing overall operations of farm.
  • The candidate should have knowledge and capability to operate farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate will be required to carry out repair and maintenance work for farm machinery and equipment if and when required.
  • The candidate should be proficient in handling farm machineries like Tractor, Farm truck etc.
  • The candidate should ensure farm activities comply with government regulations.
  • The candidate should ensure uninterrupted water supply to the farm.
  • The candidate should be responsible for maintaining adequate stock for animal foods, medicines etc.
  • The candidate should be responsible for feeding the animals.
  • The candidate should be responsible in maintaining financial and production records of the farm.
  • The candidate should regularly monitor animal health

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in similar field.
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum 5 years of working experience in similar industry.
  • The candidate should be a good team player with enough interpersonal and judge-mental skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication.
  • The candidate should be punctual.
  • The candidate should have the capability to manage and guide 5 to 10 people.
  • The candidate should have own vehicle with valid driving license.
  • The candidate should be able to handle animals.
  • The candidate would be responsible for implementing smooth weaning process in the farm.
  • The candidate would be responsible for verifying the driving license of the drivers working in the farm.
  • The candidate would be responsible for taking care of pig litters.
  • The selected candidate should be willing to relocate.

Work Site Environment.

  • The candidate will be required to work in wet, hot cold and dusty weather conditions.
  • The candidate will be required to work in rural and remote areas.
  • The candidate should be able to work with full concentration even in noisy surroundings.
  • The candidate should have no Nausea issues while working in areas with high density of odour.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities.

  • This is a fast-paced environment.
  • The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
  • The candidate should be prepared for doing physically challenging tasks as part of daily work.
  • The candidate should be required to handling heavy loads as part of routine work.
  • The candidate should have an eye for details.
  • The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • The candidate should be willing to work in standing position for long hours.
  • The candidate should be willing to work for long hours in bending, crouching and kneeling positions.
  • The candidate should ready to work for long hours including overtime if needed.
