Job Descriptionย 

  • Candidates working at this post are appointed to provide input to the development of the Transportation Services Capital Program to address rehabilitation, reconstruction and expansion needs working at this post.
  • Candidates working at this post are required for project management of ongoing or annual City-wide engineering programs, special projects, and engineering proposals working at this post.
  • They’re also required at this post to assist in preparing capital and operating budgets and perform site inspections and assessments of changed conditions on construction projects working at this post.
  • Applicants at this post are required to ensure compliance with guidelines by acting as a signing authority, finalize contract payments and implement quality control assurance for construction work at this post.

Job requirementย 

  • Candidates for this post must attain completion of a post-secondary education degree or diploma in civil and/or structural engineering to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have dedicated experience in the application of the principles of civil and structural engineering and of materials and methods of construction to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants for this post must have project management experience from inception to implementation, planning, design and construction of public works infrastructure to get preferred for this post.
  • Applicants for this post must have prior experience in developing reports, RFP proposals and presentations to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must be familiar with Canadian Railway and Highway Bridge Design Codes, Standards and Specifications to be preferred for this post.
