Job description
- Candidates are responsible for the provision of food services to youth aged 12- 17, and staff at the Young Offender’s Facility, and catering Youth Justice functions.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have journeyman Cook Certification (Red Seal).
- They must have recent experience preparing meals for individuals and/or groups in a commercial or Institutional setting (including hotel, restaurant, camp, catering or cafeteria setting.
- They must wear cooking scrubs.
- They must have the capability of heavy lifting.
- They are responsible for using cleaning chemicals such as Bleach, EP50
Work setting
- Candidates may be assessed on knowledge of food preparation, serving and storage (Food safe)
- They should have the ability to understand written and oral instructions.
- They should have the ability to work individually and in a team environment.
- They may be assessed on Self-motivated and adaptable to change.
