Job Description
- The candidate must estimate the quantities and costs of supplies and food items.
- The candidate must demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to the kitchen staff.
- The candidate must supervise the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
- The candidate must create new recipes.
- The candidate will be responsible for instructing cooks on food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
- The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
- The candidate must plan and direct the food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
- The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
- The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
