Job Description

  • The primary function of this role is to serve as a trusted Banking Advisor who helps the clients with their daily banking, credit, and investment needs.
  • The position is full-time with 37.5 hours per week at the Vancouver Main Branch.
  • It is also responsible for client discovery, offering advice-based solutions, and creating positive client experiences.
  • In addition, it plays a part in making a collaborative, inclusive work environment that is in line with the bank’s values.
  • The incumbent uses his/her digital literacy skills to assist the clients in using digital banking tools and services.
  • It operates within the Personal & Commercial Banking platform as part of a regular, salaried position.

Responsibilities

  • Draw out the needs of clients through interactions in the branch and the community and then guide them with your expertise.
  • Digital tools should be used by clients for educating purposes which will result in better experiences, increased sales, and retention of business.
  • Provide help with all types of financial transactions and answer client’s queries.
  • Pay attention to customers and make them feel understood by giving support that is specific to their needs.
  • Accept full responsibility for sorting out and stopping any banking problems.
  • Develop and keep strong allied relationships for the purpose of getting referrals and having opportunities.

Requirements

  • Client-first approach with proven track record and success in sales environments with targets.
  • Working during all business hours is a must.
  • Moving around within the Vancouver Market is required.
  • Experience in establishing client relations in financial or service sectors.
  • Must speak both Mandarin and Cantonese.
