The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible.  The vacancies refer to full time or Seasonal employment. Job Description

  • The candidate should be well-versed in apiary work.
  • The candidate would be responsible for harvesting honey
  • The candidate will be expected to detect and treat bee diseases.
  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about bee biology.
  • The candidate will have to keep honey bees.
  • The candidate would be in charge of handling, feeding, and caring for honey bee colonies in a seasonally appropriate manner.
  • The candidate will be required to manage colonies of honeybees for the production of honey as well as pollination services.
  • The candidate will be required to clean and maintain beekeeping equipment
  • The candidate will be expected to build hives and replace combs
  • The candidate must collect and package any hive products such as honey, beeswax, and pollen.
  • The candidate will be expected to make decisions regarding yards, treatment, splits, honey harvesting, and all other aspects of beekeeping.
  • The candidate will be responsible for marketing honey products to consumers or distributors.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing queen rearing operations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that breeding yards are kept at peak production levels.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep diseases and pests under strict control.
  • The candidate must be able to identify and report hive health issues.
  • The candidate must wear and maintain protective clothing and equipment avoid injury to themselves.
  • The candidate must maintain colony records.
  • During season changes, the candidate will be required to prepare colonies for both production and wintering.
  • The candidate would be in charge of assembling beehives to the required specifications.
  • The candidate would be in charge of inserting honeycombs and introducing wild swarms into ready-made hives.
  • The candidate would be in charge of forcing bees from hives with a smoke pot in order to inspect the hive and retrieve honey.
  • The candidate would be in charge of gathering honey and royal jelly.
  • The candidate would be in charge of destroying excess queen bee cells in order to prevent colony division.
  • The candidate would be in charge of eradicating diseased bee colonies.
  • The candidate would be in charge of splitting colonies.
  • The candidate will be responsible for inspecting colonies for vitality, queen performance, level of food reserves, and parasites or disease
  • The candidate will be required to operate and maintain food processing, honey extraction, and packaging equipment
  • The candidate will be responsible for moving bees to different locations to pollinate crops
  • The candidate will be required to operate and maintain farm trucks, forklifts, and machines like grass mowers and chemical sprayers for controlling grass around hives

  • The candidate should be willing to work in an outdoor environment for long hours, including tolerance for pests and thorns.
