Apiary technician

Paradis Valley Honey Ltd. based in Watino, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Apiary technician who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. Job Description

• The candidate should be knowledgeable about apiary work.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
• Fluency in Spanish language is an asset.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in hot conditions.

Work setting

• Accommodation will be provided for the candidate.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.

Experience and specialization

Apiary and honey harvesting experience

• The candidate will be expected to detect and treat bee diseases.
• The candidate must be knowledgeable about honey harvesting, honey bees, honey farms, and bee biology.

Automated systems experience

• The candidate must have prior experience with an automated honey extractor.
