Job Description

  • The Advisor Experience Consultant is accountable to the Manager of Learning and Development, Wealth Delivery.
  • The primary function of this position is to support the Wealth Wholesale teams by working closely with associates in their business unit to enhance the Advisor experience at Canada Life.
  • This will require an individual with an understanding of process-focused thinking, as well as an understanding of the Industry, who will jointly develop the strategy and content for the sales teams.
  • The Consultant develops an improved understanding of the Advisor’s needs and the overall Advisor experience for the Sales team.
  • The Consultant possesses strong expertise in the dealer and manufacturer systems and processes and is able to leverage this knowledge to create new ideas for enhancement.
  • The Consultant will also work on various projects and initiatives relevant to the department in order to facilitate the successful delivery of any proposals that are intended to improve the Advisor experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand potential effects of changes on the experience of advisors.
  • Evaluate and help clarify any changes to how advisors work and/or technology.
  • Provide and maintain resources and training material for Wholesale.
  • Provide facilitated learning sessions to help Wholesale improve its understanding of advisor experiences.
  • Help Wholesale develop its understanding of the needs of advisors.
  • Ensure that all documentation is current, including job aids and guides.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates a sales-driven mentality, and the critical thinking and problem solving creativity required in this area.
  • Familiarity with mutual funds, segregation funds and other investment options are preferred.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be organized, detail orientated and manage several projects under pressure.
  • Skilled using MS Office; previous experience in graphic or instructional design will be beneficial.
  • Post-secondary education relevant to the above stated duties or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluency in French and English would be an advantage.
