Job Description

  • The candidate must assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders, and barrels.
  • The candidate will be responsible for making minor adjustments and repairs to wood products.
  • The candidate will be responsible for recording information about the products inspected.
  • The candidate must assemble door panels, trusses, or modular components to create prefabricated housing.
  • The candidate must be able to read blueprints, written specifications, and production drawings.
  • The candidate will be responsible for packing items for shipment and distribution.
  • The candidate must reinforce assembled products with doweling or other supports.
  • The candidate will be responsible for installing hardware such as knobs and hinges.
  • The candidate will be responsible for inspecting wood products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • The candidate will be responsible for identifying defective parts or products that require repair.
  • The candidate will be responsible for trimming, smoothing, and shaping surfaces.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

  • The candidate must have experience in building and repairing skis, framing and shingling, and truss manufacturing and building.
