Job Description
- The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
- The candidate must be able to operate manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated welding equipment.
- The candidate must be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
- The candidate must examine welds to ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
- The candidate must be able to operate either manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
- The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Experience and specialization
Type of materials
- Materials include aluminium alloys, steel, iron, and heavy metals.
Welding techniques
- Welding techniques include shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and flux core arc welding (FCAW).
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have prior experience using arc welding machine, brazing machine, gas welding machine, and soldering machine.
Area of specialization
- The ideal candidate should be skilled in custom fabrication, such as fencing, balconies, stairs, and railings.
