Job Description
- The candidate must diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks using physical examinations or laboratory tests.
- The candidate must vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases.
- The candidate will be responsible for advising clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
- The candidate must perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations.
- The candidate must provide a range of veterinary services, including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising animal health technologists and animal care workers.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be licensed by the provincial or territorial authorities.
Work setting
- The candidate’s relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee’s relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company’s offices or other work locations as required.
- The candidate must work in a veterinary clinic.
