Technical Service Coordinator
The City of Mississauga has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Technical Service Coordinator. They will work with clients on their production requirements to ensure a safe and smooth event. They will develop and implement safety procedures for high-risk elements of each production. They provide expert advice and assist clients with production designs and concepts. They will work with clients on production schedules to ensure they comply with regulatory requirements. They will create production and system drawings and designs. They will develop and report on production and maintenance budgets.

Job description
- Candidates must maintain the Live Event and Media Productions’ inventory and ensure production elements are in a state of good repair.
- They will oversee production operations and staffing during festivals and events.
- They will develop Technical staff; provide training on equipment and processes at each facility.
- They will create production reports, show reports and reconciliations.
Job requirement
- Candidates must complete Post-secondary education in a Live Event or Media Production related field.
- They should have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading Productions and production staff.
- They must have expert level knowledge of at least one aspect of theatre or concert production.
Work setting
- Candidates must have excellent background in concert and Theatrical Rigging, Audio and Lighting Production for Concerts and Events.
- They must be able to lift 75 — 100 lbs of supplies/materials.
- They will be working at heights, boom lift, Scissor lift licence.
