Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for administering programs related to scientific fields.
  • The candidate will be responsible for advising senior executives on environmental issues relevant to the company’s activities.
  • The candidate must analyze the impacts, benefits, and costs of transportation initiatives.
  • The candidate must conduct research.
  • The candidate must develop programs related to scientific fields.
  • The candidate will be responsible for evaluating the efficacy of air pollution control devices.
  • The candidate must collect samples of dust, gases, mists, or vapours.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring budgets allocated to environmental programs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring environmental noncompliance and implementing corrective actions.
  • The candidate must report information to supervisor.
  • The candidate must study and evaluate chemical or biological hazards and stresses in the workplace.
  • The candidate must propose changes to work processes based on chemical or biological stresses in the workplace.
  • The candidate will be responsible for establishing internal programs in schools, businesses, and industries to promote responsible attitudes towards the environment.
  • The candidate must plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a Master’s degree.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to multitask.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

  • The candidate must work in business and/or industry, international organizations or agencies, non-governmental organizations, universities or colleges, and waste recycling facilities.

Experience and specialization

Resource usage and environmental studies

  • The candidate must be familiar with waste resources reutilization.

Planning specialization

  • The candidate must specialize in water resource management.

Specialization or experience

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about the green economy sector, as well as have specialized environmental skills and knowledge.

Area of specialization

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about sustainability.

Scientific specialization

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about agriculture, energy, natural and applied sciences, natural resources, recycling, ecology, climate change, and the environment.
