Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to conduct life skills workshops.
  • The candidate must assess clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services.
  • The candidate must assess the client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs.
  • The candidate would be in charge of providing suicide and crisis intervention.
  • The candidate would be in charge of resolving conflict situations
  • The candidate would be in charge of conducting individual and group counselling sessions.
  • The candidate would be in charge of maintaining programme statistics for evaluation and research purposes.
  • The candidate would be in charge of assisting in the evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment programmes.
  • The candidate would be in charge of developing, coordinating, and implementing specific community services.
  • The candidate will be in charge of assisting clients/guests with special needs.
  • The candidate will be expected to communicate with other social service agencies and health care providers who work with clients.
  • The candidate will be expected to help with administrative and office tasks.
  • The candidate will be responsible for promoting the general well-being of students
  • The candidate will be expected to listen to students’ problems when they come to seek assistance, as well as to provide support and discuss solutions with them.
  • The candidate will be required to converse with students who exhibit troubling behaviours in order to comprehend their problems.
  • The candidate must identify issues in the school setting, such as bullying or aggressive behaviour.
  • The candidate will be required to review the medical and mental health histories of the students.
  • The candidate will be required to develop individualised plans for students who are experiencing difficulties at school or at home.
  • The candidate will be expected to monitor and report on the progress of students.
  • The candidate will be expected to conduct psychosocial assessments, educational histories, and social histories.
  • The candidate must provide case management services such as referrals to community resources and collaboration with other professionals.
  • In cases of physical, mental, or emotional abuse, the candidate will be required to report to the appropriate authorities.
  • The candidate will be required to communicate with students in order to determine which areas they may require assistance or counselling.
  • The candidate will be required to assist students and families who are victims of abuse, violence, hunger, or homelessness in gaining access to resources such as shelters, food banks, and medical care.
  • The candidate will be expected to assess students for substance use or abuse, support systems, physical and emotional functioning, academic performance barriers, peer pressure problems, suicidal or homicidal thoughts, and other similar issues.
  • The candidate will be expected to identify and resolve ethical/racial issues.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide therapeutic services such as individual, family, or group therapy to assist students in dealing with difficult issues.
  • The candidate will be responsible for communicating with parents, teachers, and administrators to understand students’ challenges.
  • The candidate will be expected to create intervention strategies to improve academic success.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment options developed to support student self-determination
  • The candidate will be expected to provide trainings and workshops to teachers, school staff and also parents
  • The candidate will be expected to conduct research into new ways to improve children’s well-being.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist parents in facilitating their children’s progress.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in French language.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum 7 months to 1 years of working experience in similar industry
  • The candidate must be able to take the initiative and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
