Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to operate cash register
  • The candidate must prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare sales, rental, or leasing contracts as well as accept payment by cash, check, credit card, or automatic debit.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist with merchandise display.
  • The candidate must ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent sales service.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep a fully stocked store.
  • The candidate will be expected to determine the needs and desires of customers.
  • The candidate will be required to recommend and display items that meet the needs of the customer.
  • The candidate will be expected to stay current on product information.
  • The candidate must accurately describe product features and benefits.
  • The candidate will be expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • The candidate will be responsible for organising sales presentations and ensuring that all sales presentation materials are prepared on time.
  • As needed, the candidate will be required to update customer records in the company database.
  • The candidate will be expected to work with the sales team to monitor active purchase orders and ensure that orders are completed on time.
  • The candidate must immediately report any inventory or service issues to management and the appropriate Account Manager.
  • The candidate will be required to greet customers.
  • The candidate will be expected to respond to customer inquiries.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep the store clean and to present the merchandise in an appealing manner.
  • The candidate will be responsible for receiving and unloading new shipments.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep promotional databases up to date by entering invoices and bill-back data.
  • The candidate will be required to resolve order and inventory problems by investigating data and history, identifying alternate means of filling orders, and notifying managers and customers.
  • The candidate will be expected to resolve promotional allowances, rebates, and pricing discrepancies by researching promotion details as well as regular and special prices, and then forwarding resolution to managers.
  • The candidate will be required to track sales expenses by tracking, consolidating, analysing, and summarising expenses and forwarding for reimbursement.
  • The candidate will be required to handle merchandise in a safe and secure manner in a store.
  • The candidate will be expected to drive sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling, and product knowledge sharing.
  • The candidate will be responsible for informing management of potential security issues.
  • The candidate will be required to keep up to date on job knowledge by taking advantage of educational opportunities.

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Previous experience is not mandatory.
