Job Description
- Applicants at this post are required to perform sorting, collecting and delivering mail items, in a safe and timely manner at this post.
- Candidates at this post are appointed to acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure including roads, customers and delivery receptacles working at this post.
- Applicants at this post are appointed to ensure mail is safely secured in their possession at this post.
- Candidates are also required to wear Canada Post identification while on delivery and ensure its visibility while delivering and collecting mail from customers at this post.
- Applicants at this post are appointed to lift and carry items up to 50 kgs working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates for this post must have a satisfactory safe driving record to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must possess a valid permanent provincial driver’s license – class 5 or G to get preferred for this post.
- They must have prior experience in making deliveries and operating a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions to be preferred for this post.
- Candidates for this post must have a minimum cargo capacity of 2832 litres to get preferred for this post.
- Candidates at this post must notify the insurance company as to the use of their vehicle while employed at Canada Post to get preferred for this post.
