Job Description

  • The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
  • The candidate must work with others to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care.
  • The candidate must deliver health education programs.
  • The candidate must deliver immunization programmes.
  • The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • The candidate will be expected to participate in nursing-related research activities.
  • The candidate must manage home care cases.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, addressing, documenting, and reporting symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • The candidate must operate or monitor medical equipment or apparatus.
  • The candidate must participate in community needs assessment and program development.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide consultative services on issues pertaining to the nursing profession and nursing practise.
  • The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising licenced practical nurses and other nursing personnel.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have a First Aid certificate and be licensed as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.

Work setting

  • The candidate must work in a nursing home or home for the elderly.
