Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to develop, evaluate and modify care plans for resident.
- They’re also required at this post to provide nursing care, including counselling, instruction, and the coordination of resident care working at this post.
- Applicants are also required to direct staff by assigning duties and establishing priorities working at this post.
- They’re required at this post to administer and interpret results of mental status tests using the Folstein Test for cognitive recognition working at this post.
- Applicants for this post are required to prepare and maintain documentation like charts, nursing records, statistics, and reports at this post.
- Applicants for this post are required to perform delegated Medical Acts like vaccinations, eye irrigations, death pronouncements etc.
Job requirement
- Applicants working at this post just have current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
- They must have completed a dedicated bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an approved Registered Nursing program equivalent to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants for this post must have prior experience in long-term care, geriatrics complex continuing care or acute care to be eligible for this post.
- They must have dedicated knowledge of the current principles of gerontology and accepted best practices where appropriate to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants for this post must have dedicated knowledge of community resources along with the dedicated ability to coordinate outside services to support resident independence to get preferred for this post.

- They must attain a dedicated ability to evaluate overall resident outcomes and the achievement of goals to get preferred for this post.
- Applicants for this post must ensure prior ability to prioritize and organize work activity to get preferred for this post.
