Job description
- Candidates will work on blueprints, schematic drawings, service manual and other like information.
- They make the evaluation of parts for reuse, repair or replacement.
- Candidates perform non-structural welding.
- They will perform maintenance
- They will perform low voltage repairs of locomotive electrical systems.
- Candidates use various hand and power hand tools.
- They adapt to new methods, processes, material and equipment.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma .
- They must have strong problem solving skills.
- They must have computer skills.
- They must have completed previous apprenticeships.
- They must have 6 years practical or general experience in the mentioned apprenticeship .
- They must be able to work within strict established safety and work guidelines and rules to complete the job.
Work setting
- Candidates must have the ability to provide proof of apprenticeship.
- They must be able to work on various shifts .
- They must be required to obtain all CPKC certification pertaining to specific tasks .
- They must have a clean criminal history.
- They must have drivers license verification.
