Job Description
- The candidate will be expected to operate machinery to process and bag, box, or otherwise package food products.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing corrective machine adjustments.
- The candidate will be responsible for operating machinery used to process and bottle, can, or package alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.
- The candidate will be responsible for recording production information.
- The candidate must observe gauges, computer printouts, and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions.
- The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.
- The candidate must notify the supervisor of any mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities.
- The candidate must make adjustments to process variables.
- The candidate must maintain a shift log of production and other data.
- The candidate will be responsible for setting up and adjusting processing and packaging machines.
- The candidate will be responsible for inspecting products for defects and ensuring they meet company standards.
- The candidate will be responsible for operating machines that blend, flavor, condition, dry, flatten, strip, and cut raw tobacco leaves.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have a Safe Food Handling Certificate.
- The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated conditions.
Work setting
- The candidate should be willing to relocate whether the candidate would be ready to move into a new city/different city for a job.
- The candidate must work in a food processing plant.

- The types of operations include mixing, blending, cooling, bottling, fermenting, packaging, and extraction.
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience operating multi-functional process control machinery and single-function machines.
