Job Description

• The candidate must advise customers on indications, contraindications, side effects, drug interactions, and dosages.
• The candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers and other health care professionals.
• The candidate must advise customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medications.
• The candidate must check prescriptions for proper dosage.
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining customer medication profiles, including a registry of poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a Master’s degree.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification and be licensed by provincial or territorial authorities.
• The candidate should be accurate.
• The candidate should be client focused.
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in a hospital or clinical pharmacy.
