Job Description
- The candidate must provide bedside and personal care.
- The candidate must administer medications.
- The candidate will be expected to assist clients with bathing and other personal hygiene tasks.
- The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
- The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
- The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- The candidate must provide companionship.
- The candidate must provide personal care.
- The candidate must prepare and serve healthy meals.
- The candidate will be expected to perform administrative and office duties.
- The candidate must gather information and write reports or case studies.
- The candidate must conduct life skills workshops.
- The candidate must assess clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services.
- The candidate must assess the client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs.
- The candidate must conduct follow-up assessments.
- The candidate must provide suicide and crisis intervention.
- The candidate must be able to resolve conflicts.
- The candidate must supervise the activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses.
- The candidate will be expected to implement substance abuse treatment programs.

- The candidate must accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate or diploma from a one-year to two-year College, CEGEP, or other non-university program.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people, 3 to 4 people, and 5 to 10 people.
- The candidate must have Behaviour management Certification, Community disability studies Certification, Intensive behavioral intervention Certification, Mental health first aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Personal Support Worker Certificate, Medication Administration Certificate, and Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
- The candidate must complete Developmental services worker�(DSW)�Training.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
- The candidate must be punctual.
