Job Description

  • Candidates applying for this post are required to carry out a variety of technical duties.
  • They’re also accountable at this post to assist with customer service and providing information to park visitors working at this post.
  • Candidates are also required to provide leadership related to enforcement and visitor programs working at this post.
  • People who apply for this post are required to provide direction and leadership to maintenance staff working at this post.
  • They’re appointed at this post to provide general groundskeeper and grounds maintenance services.
  • People who apply for this post are also required to operate and repair a variety of heavy and light-powered equipment, such as tractors with attachments, riding lawnmowers, chainsaws saws and hand tools working at this post.
  • Candidates who applied for this post are also required to carry out facility inspections for security/damage working at this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates interested in this post must have a valid class ‘G’ driver’s licence or equivalent, as recognized by the Province of Ontario.
  • They must have the ability to be designated as a Park Warden and meet ministry certification criteria and standards in the use of force to be eligible for this post.
  • People applying for this post must attain the ability to work shifts, weekends, and statutory holidays to be preferred for this post.
  • People applying for this post must have prior working knowledge of resource management principles and practices applicable to Parks.

Work setting

  • Candidates must be knowledgeable about law enforcement and possess the ability to interpret, apply and enforce relevant acts and regulations to be considered as an asset for this post.
